The city has approved an application made by the ANC Dullah Omar region to gather on 8 August starting at the Grand Parade marching to Parliament.

Olympic medallists Cameron van der Burgh and Chad le Clos both won through to their respective finals at the FINA swimming world championships in Budapest, Hungary on Tuesday.

After Van der Burgh had won his 50m breaststroke heat in the morning and then watched Adam Peaty set a world record in the very next heat it was much of the same in the evening semi-finals.
